Understand how your choices connect to what you care about

LifeAlign is a personal analytics tool that maps your everyday decisions—spending, consumption, lifestyle—against your own stated values. It does not tell you what to do. It shows you what the available data suggests, with uncertainty made visible.

What this is. What this is not.

What LifeAlign is

  • A personal data tool for exploring the relationship between your actions and your values
  • Built on research-grade datasets with confidence intervals and source transparency
  • A reflection tool, not a recommendation engine
  • Designed for people who want to see data, not be told what to think

What LifeAlign is not

  • Not a scoring system that ranks your lifestyle
  • Not a platform that assumes what you should value
  • Not a source of moral judgement or prescriptive advice
  • Not a tool that claims certainty where none exists

How it works

01

You define your values

Select from a structured set of impact dimensions—environmental, social, economic, health-related—and weight them according to your own priorities. There is no default. The system reflects what you tell it matters to you.

02

You connect your data

Link financial accounts, import transaction histories, or manually log choices. Your data stays on your terms—nothing is shared without explicit consent, and you can delete it at any time.

03

You see what the data suggests

LifeAlign cross-references your activity with impact datasets and shows you estimated relationships—along with confidence levels, data sources, and known limitations. Where data is weak or contested, that is shown clearly.

Why this exists

Many tools that claim to measure "impact" or "sustainability" operate on hidden assumptions about what people should care about. They often oversimplify complex tradeoffs and present uncertain estimates as definitive facts.

LifeAlign takes a different approach. It starts from the premise that you already have values—and that what you need is not persuasion, but information. It treats uncertainty as a feature, not a bug. It shows you the data and lets you draw your own conclusions.

This is not a tool for people who want to be told they are doing well, or badly. It is a tool for people who want to understand.

Trust and transparency

Data sources are cited

Every impact estimate links back to its source. You can inspect the methodology, check the publication date, and see known criticisms.

Uncertainty is quantified

Estimates include confidence intervals where available. When data quality is low, we say so. We do not hide behind precision we cannot justify.

Your data belongs to you

Personal data is stored with encryption at rest. You can export or delete your data at any time. We do not sell personal data.

No hidden agenda

LifeAlign does not promote specific products, causes, or outcomes. The tool is designed to inform, not to influence.
